Yesterday we took a little day trip to the Takamaka distillery/bar/restaurant on the other side of the island. Takamaka is the local rum here in Seychelles and the drink of choice most weekends - they have a delicious coconut rum that is quite nice mixed with a little pineapple juice. I have yet to go anywhere south of Victoria so it was fun to see a new part of the island on the bus ride down there, which is where most of these pictures are from. Also pictured is pizza in a bag, the preferred lunch or snack of choice when in Victoria for a mere 22 rupees (about $2). Next weekend we are heading to
Bird Island, which is allegedly even better than
La Digue, so it should be another great week here. Rough life I lead, I know.
